The mochiko chicken plate has extremely generous serving of fried chicken with a size of rice, mac salad, cucumber, tomato, and a citrusy apple kale salad. I shared the plate with my boyfriend and we're both full!

My first time to this place. They have some indoor seating and an outside patio area they share with Birdhaus. Service was good, had my food within 15 minutes. I like the outdoor area and they allow you to bring your dog for the patio area. I tried the mochiko chicken which comes with Mac salad, kale salad and rice. The chicken was lightly crispy and tender. Highly recommend that meal. Will have to try their loco moco next time.

The outdoor space is The Birdhaus. Restaurant is The Lone Crow. Cute concept I'd say. Truthfully? The food had no business being that good. So let's start there. Should've known when the head Chef stepped out the kitchen and addressed us personally. He said, and I don't quote, "I can make the food hotter than cell block G on a good day. Hot like your uncles new watch. Hotter than a Las Vegas crosswalk." We decided not to further test his gangsta, so we choose D: None of the above. He was cool with that. Suggested to choose somewhere in between medium spice and burn it all down; we chose the cute route. He said done. And did. Results: The layer of flavors in that magic fried jackfruit something (pls excuse me for not remembering the name) just wow! So like, jackfruit, smothered in some sort of magic gravy, sautéed mushrooms, some peppers etc all over perfectly prepared rice. Magic I say! And it came with a kale salad mix that was sooo full of flavors. I can't say that I chewed any of it- more of a total inhale of which I am not ashamed of. My partner got Thee Mochiko Sando. The way she slammed on it was a true testament cause chile.... She doesn't even really eat meat, lol! The sando description and reviews were a pressure point. Perfect balance of textures and flavor chaos to make the foodie gawds happy. She's currently trying to saver the last few pieces since it'll be a few days before we can go back for round 2. She didn't chew hers either: full slam! We don't care. Parking is possible. The place is clean, cute: reviews are accurate. Real new age hippie vybe. Small intimate indoor space to connect and place order-- giant outdoor space to spread out and walk around saying, " This is niiiiice!" Didn't order from the bar on our lunch break because unfortunately we're responsible adults. I guess. Oh but we did enjoy some reggae beats before headin back out. Bathrooms: they're portapotties. Maybe they're workin on it? Idk. Aside from that, big 10 in my book.
